Governor Scott Walker signed seven bills into law yesterday afternoon approving state contracts and amending statutory language.  Employees represented in the following unions will receive a one percent raise, upon approval of these contracts.

Senate Bill 463 – approves a contract with the Professional Employees in Research, Statistics, and Analysis covering employees for the 2013-14 fiscal year, in the professional research, statistics, and analysis collective bargaining unit.  The bill passed the Senate 32-0 and the Assembly 96-0; it is Act 118.

Senate Bill 464 – ratifies the contract negotiated between the State and the Wisconsin State Attorneys Association for the 2013-14 fiscal year.  The bill passed the Senate 32-0 and the Assembly 96-0; it is Act 119.

Senate Bill 465 – ratifies the contract with the Service Employees International Union for the 2013-14 fiscal year, covering employees in the professional patient care collective bargaining unit.  The bill passed the Senate 32-0 and the Assembly 96-0; it is Act 120.

Senate Bill 466 – approves the contract between the State and the Wisconsin State Building Trades Negotiating Committee for the 2013-14 fiscal year.  The bill passed the Senate 32-0 and the Assembly 96-0; it is Act 121.

Senate Bill 467 – ratifies the contract negotiated between the State and the Wisconsin State Employees Union for the 2013-14 fiscal year.  The bill passed the Senate 32-0 and the Assembly 96-0; it is Act 122.

Senate Bill 224 – amends Chapter 230 statutory language to align with the provisions contained in the 2013-2015 Compensation Plan.  The bill passed the Senate 21-12 and the Assembly 59-39; it is Act 123.

Senate Bill 345 – clarifies statutory language relating to the Department of Safety and Professional Services, Boards, and licensing rules.  Governor Walker would like to thank Senator Frank Lasee (R-De Pere) and Representative Dale Kooyenga (R-Brookfield) for their work on this bill.  The bill passed both houses on a voice vote; it is Act 124.
