flagLeonard E. Jisko, age 86 of Rudolph, died peacefully Friday January 24, 2014 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI. 

He was born March 8, 1927 in Stevens Point.  He is the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Hintz) Jisko.  Leonard is a US Navy Veteran.  His marriage to Audrey Langton took place on April 12, 1946 in Stevens Point, the couple settled in Rudolph.  Audrey died April 3, 2013.  Leonard was employed as a Pipefitter at Consolidated Papers in Whiting for 20 years, the couple also ran the “Jisko Green Acres” farm for many years until his retirement.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 485 of Rudolph.

He enjoyed playing black jack, hunting, fishing, singing, playing the harmonica and loved spending time on his farm.

Survivors include his four children: Donald (friend Diane) Jisko of Rudolph, Debra (Todd) Vanderhoof of Mauston, WI, Dorene (Edward) Jankovitz Sr. of Wisconsin Rapids, and Darlene (Christopher) Ashbeck of Rudolph.

His eleven grandchildren: Joseph (Danielle) Jisko, Kimberly Jisko, Daniel (Maria) Jisko, John Lobner, Amy (Mike) Krokstrom, Chad (Erin) Lobner, Melinda (Brad) Wolfe, Edward (Holly) Jankovitz Jr., Crystal Hebel Jankovitz, Ashley and Abby Ashbeck.  15 Great grandchildren.  One sister: Jeanette Zelewski of Milwaukee.  He was preceded in death one daughter, Bonnie, a son, Dale “Charlie”, also 3 brothers: Clarence, Ernest & Roman “Ray” and 2 sisters: Esther & Irene.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Philips Catholic Church in Rudolph.  Burial will take place in All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point and from 9:30 am until the time for services Wednesday morning at the Church.  A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Tuesday eve.
