Point Cancels All School Monday & Tuesday

Due to extreme weather conditions, the Stevens Point Public School District has cancelled school for both Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
In addition, all after school district, school, agency programs, rentals, and co-curricular activities are cancelled for Monday and Tuesday.
The cancellations come after district officials determined the forecasted weather was just too cold to ensure the safety of students and employees.
The scheduled school board meeting for Monday has been cancelled and rescheduled for February 3 at 6:30 PM at the Bliss Education Center, 1900 Polk Street.
District offices will be open on Monday and administrators, custodial staff and other year- round employees will be required to report for duty unless excused for weather- related reasons. However, all district offices will be closed on Tuesday January 28.
