Will Chapin participated in the 2014 State Judo Championship at Milwaukee Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, WI.  This event took place Sunday January 26, 2014.  There were approximately 200 competitors competing for the state titles and both male and female were anxious to get it on.

Will Chapin fought in the 180 pounds masters division.  He worked his way up the ladder and finally came to the final match where his opponent sported an additional fifteen pounds.

Will Chapin is part of a new martial art studio called “The Dojo” at 3501A Church St.  You can find them on Facebook @ Wisconsin Budokai Karate.

He will be teaching judo on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and open mat on Sunday 6:00 pm -8:00 pm.  There is open mat every day from 8:00 – 9:00 pm except Tuesdays and Saturdays.  Any questions call 715-498-5038.  Chapin also assists head coaches Jim Weidner and Tom Gustin with UWSP Judo Club and at PJ Jacob Jr. High.

A grand opening is planned for the near future.
