Marjorie L. Hoffmanm 89

Marjorie L. Hoffman, age 89, died February 3, 2014, at the Stevens Point Care Center while surrounded by her family and under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Marjorie was born June 22, 1924 to the late James and Lela (Miller) Turner in Coin, IA. She attended grade school in Orchard, NE; graduated from high school in Norfolk, NE; and attended Norfolk Business College.
Following college, Marjorie worked at the state capital in Lincoln, NE for three years.
She married Francis Hoffman on April 5, 1946. After marrying, Marjorie focused on rasing a family. In 1958, they relocated to Stevens Point, WI where they bought a dairy farm. She dedicated her time to farm life and family. Marjorie and Francis sold the farm in the 1980’s to enjoy a life of retirement.
Marjorie will be remembered for her loving, peaceful, and easygoing nature. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and traveling. Marjorie relished spending time with her family and friends. In her later years, she liked volunteering at the Lincoln Center. She was a dedicated member of St Stephen Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Bill (Pat), Tom (Linda), Bruce (Sue), Sonnie (Hank) Janz; grandchildren, Bill Jr. (Nicole), Terri (Jeff) Helminiak, Matt (Tanya), Tonja (Matthew) Carpenter, Curtis (Rachel), Melissa (Jeff) Anderson, Nicole (Clint) Duba, Kate (Bill) Birrenkott, Jesse (Holly) Janz and Brianna (Paul) Janz; 8 great grandchildren; and a niece.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis; only sister, Neva; and daughter-in-law, Marge.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 at St Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Boston Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 pm and concluding at 7:00 pm with a Rosary. Visitation will also be held at the church from 10:00 am until time of service on Friday. Burial will be held in St Stephen Catholic Cemetery.
