Shankland Releases Monthly State Capitol Report
Friends and Neighbors-
With both Punxsutawney Phil and Jimmy the Groundhog seeing their shadows this weekend, it looks like we’ve got six more weeks of winter in store. I’m especially thankful for our fantastic snow plow drivers and emergency workers who clear our roads and help us stay safe! I hope you are keeping warm, and my thoughts are with all of the families who are affected by the propane shortage.
Many constituents have contacted me about the recent propane shortage and the surge in propane prices. For more information on what you can do, please see my message here. I’ve also included some important resources in the blue column of this newsletter.
This month’s State Capitol Report discusses Governor Walker’s State of the State address, several bills to support our local paper mills, and my work on clean energy and sustainability policy issues. You can read my response to Governor Walker’s State of the State address here. Tell me what you think!
As always, I provide live updates on my Facebook page when the Assembly is in session, as well as daily updates on my committee work and meetings in the district. I hope you find this update helpful, and please feel free to contact me with your thoughts, questions, and concerns. Your voice is very important to me!
Yours,
Katrina Shankland is a Wisconsin State Assembly Representative from Stevens Point.
