The United States Tennis Association has finally come to Stevens Point.
The Midwest Section of the USTA, along with the USTA Wisconsin District have announced the formation of a new Community Tennis Association (CTA) in the Central Wisconsin area. The newly-formed Central Wisconsin Tennis Association became official on Jan. 31 as a result of the work of local tennis enthusiasts who shared the desire to form an advocacy group for the sport.
The mission of the new Central Wisconsin Tennis Association is “to promote, develop and service the growth of tennis in the Central Wisconsin area.”
The CTA hopes to offer numerous programs for both youth and adult players of all levels. The group has been meeting to lay the groundwork for the new association and will be meeting again to continue its efforts. The group is soliciting new members and invites those interested to attend its next meeting:
