February 12

False Alarm: Authorities responded to a alarm at Doug’s Sports Bar on Highway 54 at 12:32 AM. It was a false alarm and no action was needed.

Car V Deer: A 44 year-old man reported hitting a deer with his vehicle at 6:59 AM near County HH and County E. No human injuries were reported.

Slide-In: At 7:49 AM a 71 year-old man called police to report his slide-in at I-39 and Highway 10 East. No injuries were reported.

One-Car Crash: Authorities responded to a one- car crash at I-39 and Highway 66 at 10:04 AM. A 35 year-old female passenger in the car was arrested on unrelated charges stemming from Waupaca County warrant.

Fraud: Several cases of possible identity theft were reported at various locations in Crossroads Commons in Plover between 1:38 AM and 2:11 PM. Businesses there reported a suspected phone/Internet scam.

Check Fraud: A case of possible check fraud was reported at 7:06 PM from a Torun Road residence in Stevens Point. A resident there said a possibly fraudulent check had been received in the mail.

Suspicious Lights: Someone reported basement lights on in a residence on Torun Road at 10:55 PM. Authorities determined the occupant was doing late night construction work.

February 13

Fire: Metro Fire responded to reports of a fire on County Trunk EE in Almond at 12:20 AM. A barn was destroyed in the blaze but no injuries were reported.

Illegal Garbage Dumping: A 47 year-old man reported someone was illegally dumping garbage on his property near West River Drive in the Town of Linwood. Police have no suspects at this time.
