Sherri Neff-Martens, 44

Sherri Neff-Martens, age 44 of Custer, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sherri will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday February 17, 2014 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev.
Gregory A. Michaud will officiate. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from4:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 – 10:45 AM on Monday at the church. A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established for the American Diabetes Association.
Sherri was born March 31, 1969 in Duluth, MN, the daughter of Walter and Carol Rhoades. She graduated from Hermantown High School in Duluth in 1987. In 1988 she married Bruce Neff and the couple settled in Duluth, Bruce died in 2004. Sherri worked at Super One in Duluth for 15 years. In 2001 she moved to Custer and began working at the Community First Bank in Stevens Point, she currently worked at the Rosholt office. In December of 2005 Sherri married Jeff Martens, the couple settled in Custer. She loved to fish, walk the outdoors, ski, and dance. Most of all she loved her family. Sherri volunteered at St. Adalbert Church and for many years for the American Diabetes Association.
Sherri is survived by her husband Jeff. Her three children: Clifford, Owen, and Alexandra Neff. Two step-children: Sheena and Jessica
Martens. Her parents: Walter and Carol Rhoades, Duluth, MN. Her sister Corri and husband Tedd Bragg, Duluth, MN. Her in-laws: Don and Fern Martens, Green Bay, and seven siblings. Her maternal grandmother Evelyn Johnson, Duluth. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bruce and brother-in-law Dan Martens.
