February 14

Stop Sign Fatality: Authorities responded to a call at Highway 49 and Tree Lake Road North after reports of a 24 year-old woman reportedly ran into a stop sign at 9:35 AM. Estimated value of damage is unknown.

Dog At Large: A 55 year-old woman reported a St. Bernard was approaching pedestrians in a “threatening manner” along County Trunk C in Stevens Point at 3:13 PM. Authorities referred the matter to the Human Society.

Busted for Drug Paraphernalia: A 26 year-old man who cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to fasten his seat belt during a traffic stop on Indiana Avenue at 6:43 PM.

Ran Out of Gas: Authorities responded to call about a suspicious car on McDill Avenue at 11:31 PM. It was determined the 22 year-old woman driving had run out of gas.

February 15

Child Custody: Police were called to assist with a child custody dispute on 5th Street at 11:31 AM.

Overdue Motorists: Police were called when three men, ages 21 and 22, did not return home when expected. Authorities determined the three men were in the Waushara County Jail at 10:51 AM.

False Alarm: Police responded to a 911 call from a cell phone on Dodd’s Drive at 12:23 PM but it was determined a small child had been playing with an adult’s cell phone.

Civil Disturbance: Sheriff’s Deputies mediated a verbal argument between three parties at an Old Highway 18 residence at 9:22 PM.

February 16

Returned iPhone: A 38 year-old man reported to authorities having found an iPhone near Highway 10 and Highway 34 North at 10:05 AM. The phone was returned to the 22 year-old owner.

No Love Between Roommates: Police responded to a property dispute between roommates on BJ Court in Stevens Point and 2:41 PM. The matter was settled without incident.
