District Phone System Down

Officials from the Stevens Point School District say most of the public school district’s phones are currently down due to an outage with Charter Communications.
Sarah O’Donnell, public relations manager for the district, said Ben Franklin Junior High and Kennedy Elementary are unaffected.
“But if folks call in to any other school, the phone will just ring and ring,” O’Donnell said. A representative from Charter was not immediately available for comment.
Anyone needing to contact schools other than Ben Franklin or Kennedy should call the district’s main office at Bliss Education Center, 715-345-5456.
