49 year-old Robert Mata of Plover told police he didn’t know what state he was in when he was arrested for drunk driving in December.
Mata appeared in court Monday and entered a plea of no contest to his OWI, 10th offense. He will return to court in April for sentencing.
Mata is the second man in as many weeks to appear in court on a 10th OWI charge. Michael J. Vollrath made a video appearance in circuit court on Friday from the Portage County Jail, where he was ordered to be held on a $25,000 cash bond. Vollrath was arrested for his 10th OWI during a traffic stop at Highway 66 early Friday morning.
Mata was arrested from the parking lot of a gas station in Plover.
