Photo of the Day: Big Brains Recognized at SPASH

By Robert Whitmire
Stevens Point Area Senior High Principal Mike Devine introduced three National Merit Scholars to the student body at the Red and Black Day
assembly last week.
SPASH seniors Martin Rakocolli, Emma Zblewski, and Craig Felt were amongst the 1.5 million students nationwide that took the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test). These three students finished in the top one-tenth of one percent of all seniors in the state.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic scholarship competition for recognition and university scholarships administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, a private nonprofit organization.
Becoming National Merit Scholars puts Rakocolli, Zblewski and Felt among the highest achievers in the nation.
