Janice E. Ornstein, age 97, died peacefully at home on March 4, 2014 with her family at her side.

Janice was born to the late Harry & Dorothy (Franklin) Sherry in Chicago, IL. She grew up there and attended the local schools.

She married Stanley Ornstein and  dedicated her life to growing a family. They later settled in the Stevens Point area. Stanley preceded her in death on May 2, 2000.

Janice loved her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson. There were many people in the community who she got to know very well since she moved to Wisconsin and she cherished their time together.

Survivors include her daughter, Shari Denenberg of Plover; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Ornstein, of Chicago; grandchildren Samantha (Kim Lehman) Denenberg, Jessica (Jerry Greco) Denenberg, and Ben Denenberg, all of Plover, and Deanna Borntraeger and Amanda Herholdt, both of Chicago, IL., and great-grandchildren Zeke Denenberg, Justin Dulak, and Jasiah Lehman, all of Plover.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and son, Barry.

A private family service will be held. Burial will be held in Westlawn Cemetery in Norridge, IL.
