Marshfield Clinic Cuts Budget, Staff Pay

Marshfield Clinic has announced a round of budget cuts next month which will save the company $13 million.
The company will freeze two percent staff raises as well as do away with the company’s one percent match for 401K. Doctors and other employees earning more than $125 each year will get a five percent pay cut.
The employees were notified of the cuts by email from Executive Director Dr. Brian Ewert, who explained the company’s revenue to down by $17 million since last October. Hi said high deductible insurance plans, along with higher than normal winter expenses for families forced many people to avoid getting health care.
