Vruwink Challenger to Visit Stevens Point Friday

Nancy VanderMeer of Tomah has announced her candidacy against Amy Sue Vruwink.
Vruwink is an Assemblywoman from the 70th District, which covers parts of Portage, Wood, Jackson and Monroe counties. VanderMeer ran against Vruwink in 2012 and lost by only about 140 votes.
VanderMeer on Friday will visit the Portage County Republican Party headquarters, 106 McDill Avenue at 9 AM and at Badger State Fruit in Pittsville, 5616 Cranberry Lane, at 11 AM.
Other times and locations include: 400 Club, Highway 12, Millston; 1:30 p.m. Sparta American Legion, 1116 Angelo Road, Sparta; and 3 p.m. TeePee Supper Club, 812 Superior Ave., Tomah. The public is welcome.
VanderMeer owns VanderMeer Motor Co. in Tomah. She resides with her husband, David Hall, on a dairy farm in the town of Greenfield in Monroe County.
