Honor Flight to Take 100 to D.C.
For the City-Times
The Never Forgotten Honor Flight is taking another 100 veterans to Washington, D.C. next month.
The flight will take veterans from World War II as well as Korean and Vietnam wars to visit memorials in the nation’s capital. Veterans are typically scheduled for the flight based on their age and which war they served during, though veterans who are terminally ill are given the chance to go on the trip as soon as time allows. The next flight leaves in April.
According to president Mike Thompson, veterans are welcome even if they didn’t serve on the front lines of a war.
