Police & Fire Commission to Consider Interim Fire Chief

The Stevens Point Police and Fire Commission on Tuesday will meet to consider plans for appointing an interim fire chief.
Current Chief Tracey Kujawa, who has served as chief for just over 2 years, is in the running for fire chief in Wausau. Kujawa has been listed as one of three finalists for that job and if selected she could leave the Stevens Point by April.
The commission will also hear updates on the veterans liaison officer and municipal court.
The meeting begins at 4 PM in the city conference room at the courthouse, 1515 Strongs Avenue, and is open to the public.
