City Clerk: Absentee Ballots Now Available for April 1 Election

Ballots are available for City of Stevens Point residents who wish to vote early for the spring election.
Clerk John Moe says voters they have two options for voting absentee. The first option is to vote in-person at the city clerk’s office in the courthouse, 1515 Strongs Avenue, from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 28. The clerk’s office is open from 7:30 AM – 4 PM on weekdays.
The second option is to submit a written request/application to receive an absentee ballot through the mail. Requests to receive an absentee ballot by mail must be received by the clerk’s office no later than 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27. The completed ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day, Tuesday, April 1, in order for it to be counted.
Clerk Moe reminded individuals who have not already registered to vote or those who have either moved or changed their name that they will need to re-register before they will be allowed to vote. Applications for absentee ballots and voter registration are available at the clerk’s office and on the city’s web site at www.stevenspoint.com.
