City-Times Staff

St. Joseph Parish was packed to the gills Wednesday night as parishioners joined to celebrate “St. Joseph Day” with a mass and social after updates to the church building were completed.

Workers recently finished renovations and interior painting at the church, located at 1709 Wyatt Avenue. Bishop William Patrick Callahan from the Diocese of La Crosse led the mass and blessed various religious items in the church, along with the more than 200 people in attendance.

The church has been operating from the corner of Wyatt and Jefferson St. in Stevens Point since 1884.
