The Village of Plover is getting ready for the spring election.
Along with residents from Stevens Point and other municipalities, the village residents will be voting for District 4 Court of Appeals, County Executive, County Board of Supervisors and School Board.
But Plover is also voting for members of the Village Board- known as Trustees- and they are all running unopposed.
The village is split into three wards and has two representatives from each. Trustees serve two year alternating terms and earn $3000 per year.
Joe Radomski of Ward 1 is not running for reelection, and with no other candidate running for that seat Village President Dan Schlutter said a write-in candidate will be needed. Otherwise, he said, the board members can appoint a Trustee or take applications for the spot.
Orville Damrue of Ward 2 and Al Tessman from Ward 3 are also running for reelection on April 1. Polls are open 7 AM- 8 PM.
