Letter: If You Don’t Vote for Me- At Least Get Out And Vote
To the Stevens Point Community-
I am asking for your vote on April 1st. I am running for the position of school board member. I am not running against anyone, I am running
for something. Decisions made by the school board will affect everyone in this community… students, parents, staff, businesses, taxpayers and every other community member.
If you want someone who understands the roles and responsibilities of a board member, please consider me. I believe this work is so important that is a part of my everyday life I love the productive, positive and difficult work that we do. Even though the aftermath of Act 10 is still upon us, I believe in the message “The power to unite is greater than the power to divide.”
If you are unable to support me then please do your homework and find out which candidate you can support, and VOTE. I have never put up a
sign or written a letter like this but I am truly concerned about the board and where they are headed. I am hardly perfect and have made
mistakes but I am accountable and take responsibility for those mistakes.
The school board forums have always been hard for me. I am a nervous public speaker when the outcome is so important. These forums (because
of our new candidates) have instead inspired me to be an even better board member if elected. I am hopeful some will help me do that.
Thank you for listening. We have a great school district and community and I will always contribute my time, energies and passion to keep us
vibrant and moving forward.
