Adult Protective Services Needs Volunteers

Portage Co. Health and Human Services is in need of volunteers to serve in Adult Protective Services.
The Adult Protective Services section of Portage County Health and Human Services utilizes volunteers to fulfill the role as a Guardian of
Person and/or Estate.
A volunteer guardian makes decisions for an individual who has been deemed incompetent and is no longer able act on
their own behalf. Volunteers are typically needed because there are no family members, friends, or acquaintances who can appropriately help out.
The best volunteer exhibits the utmost trustworthiness, loyalty, respect and fidelity to the individual while advocating on their
