To the Editor
I am writing to urge voters of Portage County and Stevens Point community to vote for Alex Kochanowski, school board candidate, on April 1st.
Although most of what I am about to tell you has already been stated by Mr. Kochanowski himself, I am writing to confirm many aspects of his answers in the recently published Q&A questions by the Stevens Point League of Women Voters.
I met Mr. Kochanowski almost one year ago, while attending the Mid-State Technical College, Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement Training Academy.  My first impression of Alex was confirmed many times throughout our training in that he is an individual who is highly motivated, and holds a strong commitment to his community and those around him.  His commitment to those around him is not that of an obligation, rather a personality trait of a leader.
Mr. Kochanowski is a well-rounded individual with post-secondary education in both the medical and law enforcement fields.  He is very community-oriented, which is affirmed by his employment as a city bus driver Auxiliary Police Unit.  His compassion for people is intrinsic.  Many times throughout the Academy, I observed him going above and beyond expectations.
I also observed his inherit ability to detect the needs of others, as well as issues amongst others, and his ability to immediately and appropriately address them.  He is also very efficient in problem solving.  He exerts his ability to be highly adaptable in countless situations and
competently handles those situations effectively.
Overall, I personally believe Mr. Kochanowski would be a vital asset as a school board member for the Stevens Point School District.  He is not only qualified for the position, but he also brings a unique perspective to the board and community by his reputable law enforcement training, and the current enrollment of his own children in the district.
On April 1st, I am voting for a family man, community-oriented leader, and highly energetic individual, Mr. Kochanowski.  It is my hope that you believe in Mr. Kochanowski as much as I do and the great things he would contribute as a school board member, and that your vote will follow suit.
Brian Wild, Stevens Point
