Theresa Mary Zinda (nee Rutkowski), 85

Theresa Mary Zinda (Rutkowski), 85 of Waupaca, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 22nd at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca, with her daughters at her side. 

She was born October 2, 1928 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Rosalia Rutkowski.  She graduated from South Division High School on January 25, 1946.

On November 23, 1950 she married Chester A.  Zinda in Milwaukee.  In 1959 she made the biggest move of her life when she and her Husband left Milwaukee and bought a dairy farm in Stevens Point.  Through all her trials and tests, including the loss of her house and all possessions to a fire in 1960, she remained strong and always there for her husband and children.  She shared 60 years of marriage to Chester who passed away in October of 2010.

Theresa is survived by her three daughters, Christine Hubert of Waupaca, Kathleen (Dan) O’Neil of Madison Wisconsin, and Karen (Bob) Yip of Los Angeles California.  Her son, Chad (Nancy) Zinda of St Petersburg, FL.  Seven Grandchildren, Amy, Cheston, Joey, Melissa, Tyson, Jonathan, and Nicolas.  Six Great Grandchildren, Rose, Dylan, Joelle, Julia, Cole, and Chase.  One Brother Henry Rutkowski and one sister Elizabeth Rutkowski, both of Milwaukee, WI. , many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Chester, a son-in-law Willard, two sisters, Josephine and Martha, three brothers, Anthony, Stanley, and Aloysius (Ollie).

Memorial Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday March 26, 2014 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. Family and friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. at a later date. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
