Ohio- based Biery Cheese Company is setting up shop in Plover.
The company already has a plant in the Wood County Town of Sherry which employs over 100 workers. The company this week secured a $1 million loan from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for their expansion into the former Basic American Foods plant, located just west of Plover.
The company will need to invest nearly $20 million into the expansion over the next four years, at which point the WEDC loan will be forgiven.
Biery Cheese Company was founded in 1929. The company bought the Sherry plants from Kickapoo Valley Cheese Corporation last November.
