Robert “Bob” J. Burant, 74

Robert “Bob” J. Burant, age 74 of Stevens Point, died Thursday March 27, 2014, at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital Marshfield.
Robert was born on April 5, 1939, in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Turzinski) Burant.
Robert attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1958. His marriage to Charlotte Lang took place on September 28, 1963 at St. Philip Catholic Church Rudolph, after the marriage the couple settled in the Stevens Point area. His wife Charlotte died on June 13, 2004.
Robert worked at Consolidated Papers Wisconsin River Division for 39 years, retiring in 2000.
He had a lifelong passion for horses, where he participated in Rodeos and also enjoyed watching them.
He enjoyed woodworking, watching sporting events, playing cards and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their various sporting activities.
Survivors include his sons, Brian (Brenda) Burant of Ottawa Illinois, Darren (Lisa) Burant of Stevens Point, and Kevin Burant of Stevens Point and Steve (Gail) Burant of Pulaski. Grandchildren; Adam, Ashley, Austin, Maggie, Marissa, Brett, Connor and Ethan.
Also survived by a sister, Margaret Adamski of Port Edwards a brother, Donald (Mary) Burant of Racine and brother-in-laws, Joseph Wozniak and Louie Gard both of Stevens Point.
He was preceded in death by four sisters Loraine Armstrong, Bernice Eschenbach, Maryanne Wozniak and Elaine Gard. Two granddaughters, Jordan Michelle Burant and Hope Marie Burant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday April 1, 2014, at St. Casimir Catholic Church Town of Hull at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials in Robert’s name will be established at a later date.
