Letter: Vote for Levin Means Good Things for Students
To the Edit0r-
I have had the privilege to have known and to have worked with Samuel Levin over the past 15 years. I have found him to be a very concerned and caring person when it comes to the areas of children and education.
Sam has the ability to speak up for the downtrodden and to further the cause of children wanting more out of their education.
His ways, though unique, are quite simple, Inclusion. He believes that most answers to problems can be corrected by a simple solution of people getting together and talking until a solution is found.
To keep high school students involved, he proposed long ago to allow Juniors and Seniors to take a minimum of one 3 unit transferable (double credit) general education class online from your Technical College System (Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Written Communication, Oral Communication, and Technical writing.) per semester, thus giving a graduating High School Senior 12 units of completed Collage classes (one Semester) upon graduation from High School.
This plan allows students to learn how to study independently as well as giving them an introduction to College work and a leg up if the decide to pursue a college degree, as well as satisfying their current High School Credit classes.
It is creative thinking like this that set Samuel Levin ahead of the group of current candidates.
I hope that you will join me on April 1, in casting your vote for a forward thinker that believes in education and interaction in your Stevens Point Public School District.
Thank You
