Common Council has Complete Info for First Time

In an unprecedented event, the Stevens Point Common Council met last week with enough information to make an educated decision without having to ask Mayor Andrew Halverson to explain.
“I don’t even care what we’re talking about, I’m just glad all the info was there the first time,” said Alderman Mike Wiza.
Halverson said he’d been working for months to get the three page document of information needed for the council in time.
“It just all came together for us,” said Halverson. “It was really nice to have no one arguing with me before or after the meeting for once.”
“I think there was too much transparency this time,” said Reid Rocheleau, a resident of Stevens Point who frequently objects at city, county, school board and Village of Whiting meetings. “It seems suspicious to me and I’d like to hear from you Mr. Mayor on why you gave all the information.”
The Stevens Point Common Council meets on the third Monday of every month whether all the information is present or not. They have not however, ever argued about the paper orientation of a chart, unlike the Stevens Point Area School Board.
