The Stevens Point School District has hired a new board secretary.
Amy Dailey of Plover was hired by the district in March and attended her first school board meeting March 31. Dailey fills the position left when Barb Portzen resigned earlier this year.
The board secretary is a part-time position responsible for keeping minutes of school board meetings as well as compiling the meeting agenda.
Dailey also works fulltime in recovery at a local bank.
