28th Annual Easter Egg Roll Set

The Stevens Point/Plover Noon Optimists Club has announced the date and location for the 2014 Easter Egg roll.
The festivities begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 19 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. According to the news release Wednesday, 16,000 candy-filled eggs will be laid out on in the grass of a roped-off area for children to collect by age group.
Children under three will have a chance to grab their fill of plastic eggs first; ages 4-6 begin at 10:40 AM and ages 7 and 8 begin at 10:50 AM. Children will not be allowed to carry bags or baskets.
Some of the eggs contain a certificate for a new bicycle.
The event is being supported by several area businesses as well as Local 309 AFSCME, B-104.9 and 97.9 WSPT. Students at the Fernandez Center for Alternative Learning also participated in the event coordination.
