flagFrank Ganski Jr age 79 of Bevent, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2014 in Milwaukee.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday  April 11, 2014 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.  Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate.  Burial with full military honors will  be in the parish cemetery.  Friends and relatives will gather to share  memories from 9:00 – 10:15 AM at the church prior to Mass.
Frank was born September 19, 1934 in Bevent, the son of Frank and Dora  (Stencel) Ganski.  He attended local schools and later entered the United States Marine Corp on November 25, 1952 in Milwaukee.

He served  his country as SGT and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal,  and Good Conduct Medal.  After his honorable discharge on November 24, 1955 at Edenton, NC, Frank returned to the Bevent area.  He married Elizabeth Cunningham in  November of 1956 in Bevent.  The couple moved to Schaumburg, IL  shortly after marriage, and Frank worked as a truck driver for Jewell Food  until his retirement in 1995.  Frank and Elizabeth loved to travel the  world together and spent up to four months a year during the winter  months in Hawaii. Last year Frank moved back to Bevent after Elizabeth’s passing.

Frank is survived by 2 sisters: Alice Wanta, Milwaukee and Leona  (Chester) Wisinski, Port Washington.  2 brothers: Leonard (Loretta)  Ganski, Westfield and Myron “Mike” (Ellen) Ganski, McHenry, IL.  Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife  Elizabeth in 2012, one sister Esther Raczek, and 5 brothers: John,  Albin, Henry, Edwin, and Sylvester.
