Sheriff’s Office to Hold Drug Take Back Events

The Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the nation’s Drug Enforcement Agency to participate in an upcoming Drug Take Back Day program.
The effort helps prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs, according to a news release. The service is free and anonymous and no questions asked.
Drop off your unused or expired prescription medications for proper disposal at the following locations:
April 22, Junction City Village Park, Noon to 1:30 pm
April 24, Rosholt, Faith Lutheran Church, Noon to 1:30 pm
April 26, Stevens Point, Lincoln Center, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
April 26, Amherst, Jensen Center, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
April 26, Almond Village Hall, Noon to 2:00 pm
