NWS: Flood Warning Issued for Wisconsin River

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Wisconsin River in Portage County.
Officials from the NWS say the focus is on the river banks locally, as well as the river below dams in the city as well as Whiting. 

At 4:10 AM the water level was marked by weather officials at 1,076 feet, which is flood stage. According to a news release from NWS, widespread flooding of lowland woods begins at 1,077 feet. Despite the potential for widespread flooding, officials say it is expected to be “minor”.
