Elmer flagM. Jesko, age 79 of Stevens Point, passed away April 12, 2014 at Harmony Senior Living Center where he had resided since December.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Elmer will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate.  Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.  Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 12:30 to the time of services at the church prior to Mass.  Memorials in lieu of flowers will be established in his name for the “Fore their Future” golf scholarships in Marinette and the Menominee Catholic Central Technology Department.
Elmer was born February 25, 1935 in Stevens Point, the son of Michael and Veronica (Kieliszewski) Jesko.  He graduated from St Peters Middle School and then attended and graduated from Holy Cross Seminary in La Crosse.  He returned to Stevens Point and worked as a driver with Bordens Milk and at Northside IGA before entering the United States Army on February 12, 1958 in Milwaukee.  He served as a SP4 and earned a Marksman Citation before his honorable discharge on February 11, 1960.  He returned to the area and then began his career at Consolodated Papers, and retired after 30 years in the mid ’90’s.  Elmer married Elizabeth Ann Weinmann on January 2, 1965 at St. Peters Catholic Church.  The couple settled in Stevens Point and enjoyed traveling the Midwest of the United States.  Elmer enjoyed golfing, but most of all loved his family.
He is survived by his daughter Diane (David) Mielke, Marinette. Two granddaughters: Maddie and Katie Mielke.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elizabeth in 2012, and his sister Delores.
