Sister Mary Angeline Jaszewski, 93, a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis for 70 years, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Motherhouse in Stevens Point.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, at St. Joseph Motherhouse Chapel, 1300 Maria Drive, with the Rev. Todd Mlsna officiating. Burial will be in the convent cemetery. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Mary Angeline Jaszewski was born October 2, 1920, in Trempealeau Wisconsin to the late Andrew Sr. and Mary (Rybarczyk) Jaszewski. Later the family moved to Independence. She entered the community on January 29, 1944, and professed perpetual vows on August 10, 1951.

Sister Jaszewski was a Catholic school teacher and church organist in Wisconsin and Michigan for 31 years. Locally, she served at St. Mary of Mount Carmel in Fancher. In 1980 she retired at St. Joseph Motherhouse to assist in the library and in a variety of supportive services.

Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Edmund, Roman, Andrew, Jr., Joseph, and Bartholomew.

Memorials may be offered to the Sisters of St. Joseph-TOSF. Pisarski Funeral Homes is assisting with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online to www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
