Letter: ObamaCare Will Cost School District Too Much
To the Editor-
Per our district representative (no, not Lassa, not Katrina), ObamaDon’tCare will cost our school district over $200,000, next year. It is expected to double in the years ahead.
So, all you Park Ridge residents who voted for Obama – anti up. Pay the bill. I don’t want to. I want my property taxes to educate our youth.
Nationally, ObamaDon’tCare will take $8.3 BILLION out of school budgets, in the next 2-3 years.
Why? Well, we contribute too much for our teachers’ healthcare. We are being taxed to fund their healthcare. How stupid is that? We pay for a higher benefit than most of us receive, then we have to pay a penalty for paying it.
Shame. Put our teachers on the law we know they helped pass. The time is now – put our teachers on ObamaDon’tCare – it’s only fair. Think of all the teachers we could hire with the savings. We could probably even afford the Kwik Trip Mr. Devine envisioned and did not pay for ($900,000).
