A man charged with his 10th OWI is heading to prison.
Robert Mata, 49, told police he thought he was in a different state when he was arrested last December. He was sentenced Monday to 4 1/2 years of prison time with 4 1/2 years of supervision.
According to police documents, Mata was found passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle in the parking lot of Plover Express Mart last December. He had an open beer in his lap and a pack of beer on the passenger seat. He told police he thought he was in Arkansas.
Mata was also fined $1,000.
