Rose Ann (Raschka) Stremkowski, 74, found eternal peace on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca surrounded by her loving family.

Rose Ann was born April 4, 1940 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Raschka. She attended Stevens Point Catholic Schools and graduated from Maria High School in 1958. Rose was a homemaker all her life, raising and supporting eight children. She was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, Custer. In her earlier years, Rose was active in the church’s Altar Society, supporting card parties, bake sales and various other church activities. Rose enjoyed baking, scrapbooking, making cards and gardening. She treasured family time playing cards and games, especially the times with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by five daughters; Kathy (Jerry) Rucinski of Plover, Joanne (Jeff) Genskow of Custer, Cindy (Jim) Stark of Albert Lea, MN, Ruth (John) Otto of Verona and Lisa (Jeremy) Piesik of Stevens Point, and three sons Mike (Shelly) Stremkowski of Custer, John (LeeAnn) Stremkowski of Rosholt and Bill (Melody) Stremkowski of Amherst. Her grandchildren: Mitch, Logan, Jason (Amy), Josh (Jenny), Jeff, Jolene, Jessie (Doug), Amanda, Jake, Nick, Emily (Adam), Allison, Megan. Lisa (Justin), Ed, Claire, Cameo, Owen, Zach, Samantha and Spencer and eight great grandchildren Skylar, Kyla, Hope, Addy, Ben, Odin, Gage and Molly. Further survived by her sisters, Susan Stremkowski, Annette Hulce, Sandy (Randy) Niles and Mary (Noel) Olszewski, two brothers, Chester (Rita) Raschka, Joseph (Karen) Raschka and one sister-in-law Colleen Raschka.

Along with her loving husband, Phillip, she was further preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and Daniel, brother-in-law Daniel Stremkowski and nephew and godson Wayne Raschka.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday April 24, 2014 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover, and from 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Parish until the time for mass. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in Custer, the Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools or Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverside Medical Center and the care givers at Lakeview Manor and Bethany Home for their wonderful care and kindness shown given to Rose.
