For the City-Times

Plover VFW Post, 10262 at 2970 Hickory Drive in Plover, is hosting a Real Army Mess Hall SOS breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, April 27th from 8:30 AM – noon.

The breakfast will feature “SOS” creamed beef on toast or biscuits, along with sausages or ham and an omelet or scrambled eggs for $7.50.  The price also includes hash browns, pancakes or toast, juice and coffee. Children younger than age 5 eat for free.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase equipment for the Plover VFW Rifle Squad and Color Guard, which performs military honors for fallen veterans at all military funerals, conducts ceremonies at area cemeteries on Memorial Day and Veterans’ Day, and supports an award for an Outstanding Cadet at the annual UWSP – ROTC Annual Military Ball.
