April 25
Disorderly Conduct: A 19 year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct- loud, abusive, arguing, etc., after police were called to a disturbance at College Avenue and Division St. at 12:20 AM. Two other 19 year-olds, a 20 year-old and 21 year-old were also involved but not arrested.
Truancy: SPASH Police Liaison Trina James cited a 16 year-old male student for habitual truancy at 8:59 AM. The student is now required to answer for his actions before a judge.
Borrowed Car Without Permission: A 19 year-old woman reported a 23 year-old man had taken her car without permission from an Indiana Ave. residence at 11:04 AM.
Sexual Assault: Authorities say a sexual assault was reported at 1:11 PM at a Sims Ave. residence.
Inappropriate Touching: A 51 year-old female teacher Ben Franklin Jr. High reported a 12 year-old male student inappropriately touched a female student at 1 PM.
Resisting Arrest: Police arrested a 37 year-old man on charges on disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer and probation violation after residents of a West Mapleridge Drive home reported an unwanted person inside the house at 6:02 PM.
Parking Complaint: A resident on the 400 block of Division Street reported ongoing troubles with illegal parking at 10:02 PM.
Busted for Driving Drunk, Speeding: A 21 year-old woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop for speeding yielded additional charges including OWI, speeding, failure to wear seatbelt and open drink intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 11:36 PM. The woman was stopped at the intersection of W. High and Reserve streets.
Theft of Moped: A 19 year-old woman reported someone stole her moped from a Michigan Avenue residence at 11:53 PM. Value of loss is unknown.
April 26
Noise Complaint: Someone reported loud music from a Franklin St. residence at 2:53 AM.
Theft From Parked Car: A 19 year-old man reported someone stole a backpack, 13″ laptop, video recorder and camera case from his unlocked vehicle on Clark St. at 12 AM. Estimated value of loss is about $1,000.
Disturbance: Police were called to a Briggs Street home to remove an unwanted 30 year-old man who was involved in a fight inside the house at 3:31 AM.
Entering Home Without Permission: Police suspect 3 juveniles- two 14 year-olds and one 16 year-old- of entering a West Zinda Dr. residence without permission at 4:53 AM.
5th OWI: A 48 year-old man is under suspicion of operating while intoxicated, 5th offense, after a traffic stop at 6:06 PM near Maria Drive and Minnesota Ave. The man had a 52 year-old and 6 year-old girl in the car at the time.
Skateboarding & Pot: A 19 year-old woman reported to police her skateboard, valued at $180, was stolen from SPASH. During that investigation, authorities found a pocketknife, marijuana pipe and plastic bag with marijuana at 8:11 PM.
April 27
OWI: A 29 year-old woman was cited for first offense OWI and unsafe lane deviation during a traffic stop at Main St & Green Avenue at 2:43 AM.
Ironic Theft: A 28 year-old man reported someone stole his copy of a Grand Theft Auto video game from a Bush Ct. residence at 4 PM. Estimated value of the loss is $50.
