Almost ‘Showtime’ at SPASH

Students at SPASH have put the finishing touches on Showtime 2014. The 35th annual Showtime production titled Lean On Me opens Thursday, May 1st in the SPASH Auditorium. More than 75 students will take the stage featuring four large groups songs by the Showtime Choir, 23 small ensembles and 2 skits. The Showtime Choir will perform “Celebration” by Kool and the Gang, “Listen to the Music” by the Doobie Brothers, “ABC” by the Jackson 5 and “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers.
“Showtime is a great opportunity for kids in the SPASH music program to showcase their musical talents in front of the community in a variety of musical acts,” said cast member Cory Scott. “I’m a 3- year member of the Showtime cast and am very excited for my last senior performance on the SPASH stage.”
Showtime performances run May 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the SPASH auditorium starting at 7:30 pm with a matinee performance May 4th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are being sold at Jim Laabs Music store and Mitchell’s Piano Store. Tickets may also be purchased at SPASH between 11:30 AM and 1 PM.
