Man Charged With 35 Counts of Child Porn

A Stevens Point man in being held on $15,000 cash bond after being charged with 35 counts of possession of child pornography.
42-year-old Scott Szerlong was arrested May 16 from Econo Lodge Hotel. Court documents indicate a search warrant uncovered pornographic images of children as young as four years old in June of 2013. Officers had been searching for evidence in a forgery case pending against Szerlong when they discovered the images.
No details were available explaining why Szerlong is being charged so long after the images were discovered. Szerlong is currently facing charges in Marathon County on child pornography and is being investigated for burglary.
Szerlong has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 21.
