Ralph D. Tuskowski, age 89 of Stevens Point, died Saturday afternoon May 17, 2014 from a long term illness at the Portage County Health Care Center.

Ralph was born September 29, 1924 in Shantytown. He was the son of the late Theodore and Sadie (Osowski) Tuskowski.  His marriage to the former Veronica “Vicki” Omernik took place on November 6, 1948 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Ralph worked as a Heavy Duty Operator for Local Union 139 for many years in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He also operated the Sportsman’s Bar in Rosholt for a number of years before his retirement in 1986.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tending bar and visiting with his friends. His most precious time was spending it with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ralph is survived by his wife Vicki, one daughter Karen (Ron) Edelson of Stevens Point. Three sons; Dennis (Toniete) Tuskowski of the Philippines, Gary (Sue) Tuskowski of Stevens Point and Wayne (Jodi) Tuskowski of Plover, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is further survived by three sisters; Lori Myska, Theresa Lorbicki and Grace Knutski and one step brother Pat Tuskowski. He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvisam officiating. Burial will be in the St. Adalbert Catholic Church Parish Cemetery at a later date.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Friday morning at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter’s Church until the time for mass.
