Wanda E. Hall, 87 of Plover and formerly from Milwaukee, died Sunday May 18, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. She was born Sept. 5, 1926 in Stevens Point.

Daughter of the late Anton & Lydia (Kowalewski) Mayek.  Her marriage to John L. Hall took place on June 12, 1948 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  Her husband died Dec. 2, 1995.  She was employed at Bardes Plastic Inc. in Milwaukee until her retirement in 2002. 

She enjoyed Traveling especially to Las Vegas & Hawaii, family gatherings, crocheting, cooking, shopping & watching football especially the Packers.  She never went anywhere without a camera. She graduated from the school for the deaf in Marshfield.  She met her husband John at a football game in Delavan, WI.

Survivors include one sister: Ceil Mattson of Stevens Point, many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews, 2 brothers in law: Phillip Hall & Clair “Skip” Hall & 1 sister in law: Barbara Brockman.   Preceded in death by 2 sisters: Ida Jankowski & Helen Grzesiak.  7 brothers: George, Tom, Henry, Raymond, John, Richard & Chester Mayek.  1 infant brother: Leo Mayek.  3 brothers in law: Harry Grzesiak, George Jankowski & Don Mattson.

Funeral Mass 1:00 pm Thursday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.  Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiating.  Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the Church on Thursday.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com

 

The family would like to give a special Thank You to a nephew David Mayek and the Critical Care unit and Palliative Care unit at St. Joseph hospital for all their loving care.
