The Plover Police Department on Monday has confirmed one man is in custody after a violent incident at a Cedar Drive home sent another man to the hospital.
Police were dispatched to the residence shortly after 2 PM on Monday after a 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance from the 2800 block of Cedar Drive. On Monday afternoon the property was roped off with crime tape and a Wisconsin State Patrolman was stationed outside the home.
As a result of the incident this afternoon, one male victim sustained blunt force trauma injuries and has been airlifted to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He is currently listed in critical condition.
The sole male suspect is in custody at the Portage County Jail. This was an isolated incident and poses no threat to residents in the area. The investigation is ongoing.
This is the second violent incident in Plover in as many weeks. No further information is being released at this time. More as we have it.
