Helen Uzarowski, 91, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at North Crest Assisted Living in Stevens Point.

She was born Dec. 17, 1922 in Ostrow Mazowiecka, Poland.  She married the late Wieslaw Uzarowski on Aug. 13, 1946 in Poland, and they lived together in Poland until 1977 when Helen relocated to the U.S. to provide a better life for her family.  She lived in Chicago and Stevens Point as a Personal Care Aide until her retirement in 1992.  Helen will especially be remembered for her love of family, spirituality, energy and the small joys from an occasional game of bingo or a road trip.  English was a second language, but she was always able to communicate through her kindness and sense of humor.

Helen is survived by three children: Ewa (Tony) Stanislawski of Stevens Point, Ludomir (Elzbieta) Uzarowski of Canada and Krzysztof (Irena) Uzarowski of Poland.  Four grandchildren: Kasia (Dan) Tinder, Bart (Adina) Uzarowski, Rafal (Andrea) Uzarowski and Maciej (Agnieszka) Uzarowski. Two great-grandchildren, a step family and close friends who will forever cherish her love.

Funeral Mass 10:30 am Saturday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover.  Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill will officiate.  Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home at 2911 Plover Road in Plover from 9:15 am until 10:15 am Saturday morning and not at the Church.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com

The family wishes to thank Helen’s caregivers for their support and compassion throughout the years
