WPR Show to Feature Local Gardening Experts
For the City-Times
This Thursday, May 29th, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 features our annual garden show, with advice for listeners who call in with questions about landscaping, tree and shrub care, and growing flowers and vegetables in our region’s inclement northern climate.
Host Glen Moberg welcomes two master gardeners from Portage County: Nick Schulz, who writes the Perpetual gardener column in the Portage County Gazette; and Lynn Caine, an orchard owner who serves on the Wisconsin Master Gardener Association Board, and who previously served as the summer horticulturist for Portage County UW-Extension.
Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist University of Wisconsin Extension staff with horticulture education and community beautification.
Route 51, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Wausau regional talk show, can be heard from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursdays on the Ideas Network stations WLBL 91.9 FM Wausau, WLBL 930 AM Auburndale/Stevens Point, WHBM 90.3 FM Park Falls, WHAA 89.1 FM Adams/Wisconsin Rapids, WHRM 90.9-3 HD and WHSF 89.9 FM Rhinelander/Eagle River.
We’ll be taking calls from our listeners live on the air 1-800-780-9742.
Route 51 is re-broadcast Friday nights at 7:00 p.m. on WHRM 90.9 FM.
