Airport to Hold Fly-In, Dedication Ceremony Sunday

The Stevens Point Airshow is set to take off on Sunday, June 1 at the municipal airport on Highway 66.
The show will feature aerobatic displays, WWII war birds, helicopter and airplane rides, restored antique vehicles and fire engines and the Spirit of Marshfield helicopter.
Breakfast will be available until 11 am, and lunch will be served from 11 am – 3 pm.
The airport will also officially be dedicated to Conrad E. “Connie” Mattson, a Stevens Point native who went on to become Wisconsin’s first Jet Ace, during a 10:30 AM ceremony. The field was renamed “Mattson Field” after the WWII hero by the city in January.
Admission to the event, which runs from 8 AM- 5 PM, is free.
