Alice M. Westrich, age 87, of Stevens Point, died June 2, 2014 at Harmony Assisted Living in Stevens Point, WI.

Alice was born in January 23, 1927 in Detroit, MI. She grew up in Westboro, WI where she attended the local grade school and graduated from High School in 1945.

She moved to Medford, WI and worked as a waitress at Bauer Café. Alice met her future husband, Wilbert Westrich, while working at the Café. They were married on April 29, 1950 in Medford. After their marriage, Alice devoted her life to raising a family.

Wilbert died on March 27, 2001. A year later, Alice moved to Stevens Point to be closer to her family.

Alice will be remembered for her easygoing personality and her love for life. She enjoyed sightseeing and traveling. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed taking long walks. Alice loved her family and enjoyed helping them in any way possible. In her later years, she took pride on becoming more involved within the community.

She is survived by her son, Carl (Marge) Westrich of Stevens Point; daughter, Cathy (Karl) Thaden of Arvado, CO; granddaughter, Charity (Brandon) Knapp of Weston, WI; and many dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Olson officiating. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home.

Her family would like to thank the loving staff at Harmony for their excellent care and Heartland Hospice for their compassion.
